About Me

I'm currently on indefinite hiatus for health reasons.

***

I am an artist, occasional writer, and a seeker in the dark.

I live in the Blue Mountains, Australia, in the company of trees and birds. I try to be creative whilst walking through the shadowlands of chronic illness (CFS/ME).

In recent years I have been focused on image-making, creating art that synthesises influences from ancient cultures, archaeology, feminist/Goddess spirituality, mythology, symbolism, and explorations of the knowing that what once was may be once more.

Before this I pursued creative writing for a few years, with two of my short stories published in Volumes 1 and 2 of Heroines: An Anthology of Short Fiction & Poetry (The Neo Perennial Press, 2018/2019).

I am particularly interested in writing and art that enables relatedness between the human and the more-than-human, allows entrance to the mythic and sacred, and illuminates the connections and interpenetrations of reality.

I have a BA with Honours in Art History, as well as Diplomas of Editing and Publishing, though I feel I have learnt much more from self-study than from all my years of formal education.

My art has been exhibited in The Life I Have Not Lived But Can Remember: An Exhibition of Women's Art, at the Otaki Library, New Zealand (7–28 June 2021). Work from that exhibition can be seen on Instagram: @womenremember

Two of my paintings also appeared in the online exhibition (now archived) held by the Association for the Study of Women and Myth (10 July–31 December 2021), in celebration of the centennial of the birth of esteemed archaeomythologist, Marija Gimbutas (1921–1994).

Two works have also appeared at in the Deep Scarlet Red Pen Project Exhibition at Nix Gallery, inside Nauti Studios Blue Mountains, Hazelbrook, NSW, October–November 2022.
