  1. Gorgeous photos! Fascinating to see how similar, yet different, certain species are - thrush, wren, robin - I know them but their shape, but different markings... A YELLOW robin, incredible!

      Many of the Australian birds were named after the familiar European ones, because of certain similarities in appearance, but they are not in any way related.

      There are also rose robins, with pink breasts—absolutely gorgeous!—but I haven't managed to get a photo of one of them (yet). x
